The jewels in this collection are all made in a Roman atelier in minute mosaic, gold, silver and precious stones. They are unique pieces linked to current issues, such as the protection of our Planet Earth and the violated rights of women and all minorities.

Alveare di Artemide aims to involve all the artists who want to collaborate with their jewel works within our project.

Alveare di Artemide

Curatorial platform
Body as condition, not representation
Political & symbolic territory

Rome · Venice · International

Alveare di Artemide is an independent curatorial platform founded and directed by Marina Balsano.

It was conceived as a research project exploring the body as the first architecture, as a symbolic and political space, and as a critical language within contemporary art.

The platform develops curatorial programs dedicated to wearable sculpture and to the body as a symbolic and political territory.

Alveare di Artemide operates as an independent curatorial structure connecting artists, artworks, and research contexts between Rome, Venice, and an international dimension.

The platform develops through curatorial programs, meetings, and exhibition projects, with a planned presence in Venice during the 2026 Venice Biennale of Art.

Alveare di Artemide produces thematic collections through collaborations with contemporary artists and selected master goldsmiths. Each work translates the theme of transformation into a form that inhabits the body as a living sign, generating unique pieces or limited editions conceived as active presences within space. Every collection emerges from a shared research process and takes shape in the atelier through high-level artisanal practices. The works are issued either as limited editions or as one-of-a-kind pieces.

The project operates between Rome and Venice and engages with cultural institutions, exhibition spaces, and national and international contexts.
